LichtBlick acquires our portfolio company Installion

Cologne-based energy start-up Installion GmbH has been a wholly owned subsidiary of green energy pioneer LichtBlick since the beginning of April. The two companies made the announcement today. Installion has 160 employees and operates assembly hubs for the installation of photovoltaic systems, home storage units and wallboxes at 12 locations nationwide. The business model of the Cologne-based start-up also includes a digital platform for brokering installation orders and digital project management between clients and the installers carrying out the work. Installion was awarded the German Sustainability Award in 2022 for its innovative business model.

"Today is a very good day for the energy transition. An efficient network of skilled workers is the most important strategic building block so that we can meet the increasing demand for solar systems, home storage and wallboxes. Climate-friendly and decentralised energy solutions are a large growth market. As a green power pioneer with 25 years of market experience, we offer our customers much more than just the installation of technology. We integrate decentralised plants into the energy markets via a virtual power plant (VPP). In this way, our customers earn additional money with their energy and reduce the burden on the climate," explains LichtBlick CEO Constantin Eis.

"We have been working together with LichtBlick on a basis of trust for some time now. We are driven by the shared vision of becoming the digital energy provider of the future. We are pleased to work with LichtBlick to develop our contracting and project management platform into the leading industry solution and to further develop our network of professionals," explains Installion founder and CEO Florian Meyer-Delpho.

With the SolarPaket, LichtBlick offers an attractive solution consisting of a photovoltaic system, home storage, wallbox and a home energy management system. Thanks to the StromWallet, customers can use 100 percent of their self-generated electricity at no additional cost. The LichtBlick subsidiary Ison is also developing a virtual power plant from which all LichtBlick solar customers will be able to benefit in the future.

The installers from Installion take care of the planning, installation and maintenance of the LichtBlick SolarPackage throughout Germany.
